Drew Marshall, the soon to be 12 year old can not only be considered a veteran of the Tri-state dirt tracks, he is also a winner on these drit tracks. Marshall, an honor student at Carmi Middle School is looking forward to his sixth season of racing in 2010.
"We changed cars during the seaon and it took me a while to get it figured out," said Marshall. "The last couple of races we got the car set up right and we won some." Marshall said he feels like he is a better racer than when he first began. "I think I can communicate with the crew better," said Drew. "And you can adjust the new car while racing, we can increase or decrease the shock rate for better bite as the track conditions change.

While other kids his age are playing video games while on the computer, Drew is just as likely to be looking up car and engine parts on-line. The new car is a step up in engine size and weight, but Drew said he feels comfortable in the car and is ready for another winning season, with many more seasons likely in the young man's future.
